PNACAC Membership runs from July 1 - June 30. Membership fees are not prorated; any payments made for the current membership year apply from the time they are made until the end of that cycle.
  • If your organization was a PNACAC member for the 2020-2021 membership year, you will be RENEWING this summer. If you need to change the Key Contact (primary individual who manages membership) for your organization, please contact Ann Nault at [email protected].
  • If your organization has previously been a member, but not in the most recent year, you will be considered a NEW member.
  • If you are joining as a new secondary school member, please use your high school name as your organization unless you are based at the district level (the latter is considered a school district membership). Public secondary school membership is free.

PNACAC provides resources for its members to guide and empower students as they prepare for college admission. Becoming a member and getting involved is a great way to share your ideas with professionals throughout the Pacific Northwest, and country. Members gain access to:

 

Membership Eligibility

Applying for membership does not guarantee PNACAC membership. Applications will be reviewed and if additional clarification or documentation is required, you will be contacted by the Membership Chair.

  • Postsecondary institutions may be asked to confirm their non-profit status and/or accreditation.
  • Independent Educational Consultant members must demonstrate they meet eligibility requirements outlined in PNACAC by-laws and may be asked to confirm membership in NACAC, HECA, or IECA.

Only non-profit groups (Institutions, School Districts/University Systems, Organizations/Agencies) and individuals (Independent Educational Consultants, Non-Affiliated Professionals, Past-Presidents) are eligible to be voting members of PNACAC.

 

Membership Types & Fees

ORGANIZATION MEMBERSHIP
All professionals working at the same organization can be included in the membership application and fee.

  • Post-secondary Institutions (Colleges/Universities) - $110 Institutions may be asked to confirm non-profit status, accreditation, and that they are degree-granting institutions during the application process.
    • Four-year college or university in the PNACAC area (AK, ID, MT, OR, WA)
    • Community college in the PNACAC area (AK, ID, MT, OR, WA)
    • Four-year college or university outside the PNACAC area
    • Community college outside the PNACAC area
  • Public Secondary and Primary Schools in the PNACAC Area - FREE!   Individuals assigned to specific buildings who provide counseling and guidance to students regarding post-secondary planning.
    • Public secondary or primary school in the PNACAC area (AK, ID, MT, OR, WA)
  • Private Seconday School - $60
    • Private/independent secondary school in the PNACAC area (AK, ID, MT, OR, WA)
  • School District Offices - $60 This category is intended for professionals working at the district level  who provide counselor supervision and/or counselor advocacy to support counselors working in buildings as well as counselors on special assignment who serve the district with program facilitation. Districts with school counselors should have each building complete an institutional membership.
  • Independent Educational Consultants (IEC) - $60 Members from the PNACAC region will demonstrate they meet eligibility requirements outlined in PNACAC by-laws by providing confirmation of membership in NACAC, HECA, or IECA.
  • Not-for-Profit Service Organizations - $60 Organizations with primary activities that consist of working on a multi-state, national or international level and providing counseling, admission, or financial aid services to students or to the college admission counseling or financial aid professions. Organizations will be asked to confirm non-profit status, that they have been in business for at least 3 years, provide direct service to students for free, do not award diplomas, and can provide their website during the application process.
  • Community-Based Organizations - $60 Organizations which provide counseling, admission, or financial aid services only to students at the state or local level on an on-going basis. Organizations will be asked to confirm non-profit status, that they have been in business for at least 3 years, provide direct service to students for free, do not award diplomas, and can provide their website during the application process. 

INDIVIDUAL & OTHER MEMBERSHIPS

  • Non-Affiliated Professionals - $60 Individuals who were employed at a voting member institution or organization during the current year or immediately preceding membership year who are no longer employed by any member or member-eligible institution.
  • Associate Organizations - $60 Organizations that provide products and/or services to the counseling, admission, or financial aid professions or in support of students in the transition to postsecondary education.

  • Graduate Students - $20

  • Retired Members - FREE
  • Past-Presidents - FREE.  If past-presidents of PNACAC are NOT currently affiliated with an institution/organization that is a member of PNACAC, they will automatically be granted an individual voting membership each year.
