PNACAC Committees

Make the most of your PNACAC membership and get involved! As a volunteer organization, we rely upon our members to give of their time and expertise to fulfill our mission and strategic plan. No matter how long you have been in your profession, your experience can make a difference!

Each PNACAC Committee works toward organizational goals in its own way; this may include conducting meetings, developing programs, completing projects, and communicating with members and non-members alike. Committee Chairs are responsible for their committee's goals and coordinating committee members, as well as serving on the PNACAC Executive Board.

In addition to contributing to the overall purpose of PNACAC, volunteering on a committee is also a fantastic opportunity for networking and professional growth

Another way to get involved: serve on the Executive Board!

While any committee welcomes your interest, the following committees have particular needs for the 2024-2025 cycle:

Awards & Recognition Committee

The Awards & Recognition Committee supports the various ways PNACAC acknowledges the accomplishments of members and students in our region. PNACAC recognizes its members with five professional awards in addition to awarding a one-time scholarship to ten prospective students from the PNACAC region.

The Awards & Recognition Committee is seeking members to review prospective student scholarship applications

Frequency/Commitment: Review time will vary depending on the number of applications submitted, but committee members may expect to review about 50 student scholarship applications in late March (timeline subject to change).

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee supports email and social media communications for PNACAC.

This committee is looking for someone to oversee our social media accounts.

This person would be responsible for creating posts in Canva for Instagram and Facebook to complement our email communications, events, and other PNACAC needs. With our move to Slate, there is a unique opportunity to be a part of (re)creating our messages and templates in a new platform. Individuals who want to further their Deliver and Deliver Designer skills in Slate - join the Communications Committee!

Frequency/Commitment: 45-minute meeting once a month to coordinate upcoming emails, along with taking on social media or email projects. 1-3 hours per month in total.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is dedicated to fostering engagement and growth within our professional community. We manage member inquiries, outreach, renewals, and data.

The Membership Committee is seeking members to develop member recruitment and retention strategy.

If you’re interested in building your skills in data management and member relations, we’d love for you to join our team! Volunteers can gain hands-on experience with our highly customized instance of Slate (PNACAC’s new membership CRM), while working on impactful upcoming projects like outreach to prospective members, developing a membership brochure, or discussing upgrades to the Membership Portal and renewal process.

Frequency/Commitment: 45-minute monthly meetings, plus 1-2 hours of project time per month. (Prior Slate experience NOT required! We'll teach you everything you need to know!)

Technology Committee

The Technology Committee supports the various activities of PNACAC with technology tools and support.

The Technology Committee is seeking a Zoom expert and those interested in PNACAC's use of Slate.

This coming year, we need a Zoom expert to help us support professional development webinars. I'd also like to recruit some Slate experts and Slate newbies (and everyone in between) to serve as a focus group to provide feedback as we build new tools, like the new Membership Portal.

Frequency/Commitment: once a month for 1-2 hours.

College Fairs

This committee consists of local, on-site fair hosts and volunteers who work to coordinate efforts of the fairs to equitably and successfully provide area students with access to the highest-quality event possible.
