PNACAC fairs are free and open to the public. No fee is necessary for students, family members or guidance counselors to attend. Students are encouraged to visit www.gotocollegefairs.com prior to the fair. After entering their information on the website, students can print a barcode that can be scanned by the college representatives of their choice. Put an end to filling out info cards at every table!

It is my goal as College Fair Chair to make sure that we have the best available scanner technology for the college fairs. I have been working over the last two months to try and provide the ability to have scanners available and included in the college fair registration. College Fair Automation is unable, at this time, to guarantee that we will be able to have Premium Scanners this fall if we include them in our rental cost. The Premium Scanner is the one that can scan both paper and electronic copies of the bar code. Bluntly put, they just do not have enough of the Premium Scanners in stock to service the NACAC Fairs, and the Regional ACAC fairs. They also are not able to guarantee that they can provide an onsite tech in the event that something malfunctions with the devices. Since this would affect a decent percentage of our students I have decided to not include them in the registration process this year. It is my mission to continue talks with College Fair Automation to make sure that we can have the Premium Scanners included in the fair registration for the fall 2015 college fairs.
Thank you for your understanding on this matter.
I do recommend that you order early and request the Premium Scanner. As mentioned before, the Premium Scanner can scan bar codes that are printed as well as electronic. This scanner is more expensive, but has more to offer. You may also consider utilizing their smart phone app. It requires a smart device, but there is only an activation fee and not a rental cost for a device. It has the same functionalities as the Premium Scanner plus some other bells and whistles.
At this time, scanners will not be available for rent the day of the program. Please make sure that you rent your scanner early. Please let me know if you have any questions. See you in October!David Compton
